BTS, the Korean pop sensations, have announced four tour dates in April for their 'BTS Permission to Dance on Stage - Las Vegas' concert.
The performances will be held in front of a live crowd at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with fans who do not have tickets for the main show able to watch a live video stream from the neighboring MGM Grand Garden Arena. In addition, on April 16th, the series' last episode will be aired live online.
The Las Vegas tour dates follow four months of BTS performances in the United States, which took place in November and December in Los Angeles.
Jimin, a member of the band, has had surgery for acute appendicitis since then. While in the hospital, he contracted COVID, although his record company said he had had minimal symptoms.
BTS will perform three times in the Olympic Stadium in Seoul before their Las Vegas gigs.
Hybe Entertainment Group's profits are on the rise
On Tuesday, the South Korean entertainment firm behind BTS, as well as pop stars like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, claimed a nearly 31 percent increase in revenues over the previous year.
Although concert revenues in 2021 improved from the lows of 2020, they remained lower than pre-pandemic levels as COVID limitations on travelling and events remained in place.
Hybe, on the other hand, has expanded into more merchandise sales, with over 4,000 items available, up 22%; launched Weverse, a social media and e-commerce platform that allows fans to connect with artists; published games and digital comics featuring BTS members; and licensed music for commercials and films.
Hybe hopes to issue BTS NFTs this year, as well as online novels in ten different languages and a new video game in the summer.
BTS, Justin Bieber, and Ariane Grande, three of Hybe's biggest singers, had a total of 22 weeks at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 charts in 2021.
